Carl Alton Combs, 52, of Michigan City passed away on May 28, 2014 at his home in Michigan City.
A time of remembrance will be held on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Root Funeral Home.
Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Carl was born October 15, 1961 in Michigan City to the late Carlson and Ola (Floyd) Combs.
Surviving are five children: Rachel Combs , Alton Combs , Christopher Combs, Carl "Junebug" Combs Jr and Katie Combs; nine grandchildren, Adam Combs, Nathaniel Martin, Kenyon Martin, Lillian Martin, Gregory Campbell, Haley Lashuay, Rebecca Lashuay and Mikey Lashuay, and seven brother and sisters, Tenna (Robert) Bodine, Ruth (Bob) Eckhart, Ginny (Greg) Gifford, Ronny (Dee) Combs, Kathy Combs, Roger Combs and Linda (Randy) Coleman.
Carl was a retired roofer.
He had a heart of gold, was respectful and loved by all. His passion was roofing, being in the outdoors, spending time with his family, fishing with his kids, watching movies and help family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family.
