Damien Michael Beal, 34, passed away Saturday, February 21 at his home in Michigan City.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25 at
6:00 p.m. at Root Funeral Home in Michigan City. Visitation
will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at
Root Funeral Home.
Damien was born January 21, 1981 in Michigan City.
Surviving Damien are Amber Hanell and their daughter
Kamryn Sky Beal; Tonya Federoff and their daughters
Makenzie Jean and Khloe Marie Beal; father Michael Woodruff
and step-mother Candace Finney; two sisters, Autumn
Woodruff and Elaine Finney; two brothers, Brian (Keri)
Woodruff and Joshua Finney; nieces and nephews Kyle
Washington Jr., Adrianna Woodruff, Kyra Woodruff, Steven
Lewis Jr., Stephanie Lewis, Sapheria Lewis, Dredin Finney,
Kadin Finney; and many cousins and friends.
Damien is proceeded in death by grandfather Norman
Woodruff; aunt Melody Bland; and grandmother Peggy Jean
Woodruff, who took on the role of his mother and raised him
to be the free-spirited, charismatic person that he was.
He worked at Power Drive as a Forklift Operator.
Damien would go wherever the breeze would take him. He
participated in Job Corp and was independent at the age of
seventeen. He was hardworking and took pride in everything
that he did. Damien had many hobbies and enjoyed playing
pool, visiting family, going to the library and to church, playing
basketball, taking nature walks with his girls to feed the ducks,
watching sunsets at the beach, and keeping exotic pets. He
loved his daughters more than anything and had a small, tight
circle of friends that he loved like brothers. He was wild and
charming, and had a way of being in the right place at the
right time. Damien will be deeply missed and always
remembered as the kind-hearted and playful person that he
was.
